Would you believe me if I told you anxiety affects millions globally?
Of course you would!
Many people experience anxiety in a variety of ways, from overthinking everything to that feeling that resembles a knot in your stomach or a constant state of stress. Everyone is different. If we gather 100 people in a room and ask each individual what anxiety feels like for them, we'd receive 100 very different answers.
This unique experience creates a greater need for a personalised approach, which is why hypnosis is a compelling option for many seeking to alleviate their anxiety.
Anxiety is often viewed as a negative aspect of our behaviour, but it’s important to realise that it is completely natural. It’s your brain doing the job for which it was designed. A normal level of anxiety is very healthy; it alerts us to dangers and potential risks. However, when anxiety hinders us from taking action because we fear making mistakes or worry about what others think, leading us towards feelings of panic, that’s when it becomes a problem.
Hypnosis works directly with the part of the mind that manages the 'worry function.' This process allows behavioural patterns to be changed and updated, bringing worries into proportion so that they no longer overwhelm you. You begin to see things from their true perspective, and it’s this shift in perception that leads to profound change for many who invest in a hypnosis programme.
What if it goes wrong versus what if it goes right?
This change in thinking rapidly reduces the catastrophizing we can sometimes spiral into when we focus only on the negatives. Essentially, you gain control of the narrative, guiding it toward a more beneficial outcome, which creates feelings of calm, confidence, and control.
Feeling Deeply Relaxed
Feeling more relaxed more of the time is another major benefit of hypnosis. Clients often report feeling significantly calmer during the day, which allows them to handle stressful situations in a much more controlled way which means you can keep things in perspective rather than letting them get out of proportion.
Reclaiming Your Identity
Most people often describe themselves as anxious individuals, but after going through the program, they start to notice they no longer resonate with that identity. This transition is significant because how we identify ourselves profoundly impacts how we operate in the world. When we see ourselves as anxious, that feeling can become our norm. Hypnosis enables you to recognise other aspects of your identity and uncover a preferred self, allowing you to discover new dimensions and possibilities for growth and development.
I won’t sit here and tell you that hypnosis is a universal solution simply because it’s not a one-size-fits-all remedy. However, it is a highly valuable tool that, when utilized by a skilled practitioner, can lead to rapid and meaningful results for you.
